Eyes on the Skies

Sunset on Long Lake

I think this may be the last day of fall like sunsets on the lakes. So long clear waters.

November 18th and I did the chores in a sleeveless t-shirt. It was lovely. Warm. Sunny. Still. We’re on alert though. Sounds like a big snowstorm is coming this weekend. Yikes! Our night skies have been putting on quite a show this month. There was the Super Moon last week. Impressive in its own right. I’m also fascinated when the planets are visible. This week Venus is very bright in our southwest sky at dusk. 261 million kilometers away the sun is reflecting off of its surface and then shining in my eyes. It is so bright that my regular camera picks it up. I can see Venus. Mind boggling.
