There’s always a whole lot of donkey love around here!
First business on the agenda … building a bridge across the stream.
In a Habitat for Humanity style spirit … everyone, no matter the age …
… got in on the action. Even if you are still only two in calendar years!
Simon’s girls are not shy to pick up a hammer or use power tools!
The final result held the Bully just fine.
Second order of business …
… the ‘carvathon’!
Every year the designs get to be a little more creative!
AND require quite a bit of muscle work.
We ended up with a wonderful display. 8)
We had lots of time for visiting and catching up.
Hugs were spread around…
… and ‘tom foolery’ was rampant. 😉
Some people made it for the weekend via New York City and Toronto in two days.
We soaked up sunshine…
… went for a walk in the woods…
… and OF COURSE …
… made LOTS of time for donkey visiting.
Kyla spent more time outside with the trio than she did inside … including sleeping hours!
Before dinner it was time to celebrate Corey and Lexi’s birthdays.
’31’ and ‘3 too’
We filled up on cake and pumpkin pie …
… and cups and cups full of tea. 😉
Eventually we started to slow down …
… and slouch …
… to read bedtime stories on the couch.
